Privacy Policy

We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect will be processed by us in accordance with the UK’s implementation of General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) under the Data Protection Act 2018. This Privacy Policy clarifies what personal data we collect about you, when we collect it, how we use it and your rights regarding your personal data. 

Who are we?

We are Galliant Consulting Limited (Company Registration 11117834) trading as Galliant Trainings or Galliant. Taylor Roark is registered on our behalf as a Data Controller with the Information Commissioner’s Office under registration number ZA772183. Taylor is responsible for the data control of any personal data that you provide to us and is also our nominated Data Protection Officer.

Why is this notice important?

During our work together, it will be necessary to hold some personal data (on paper or electronically) about you. Your confidentiality is important to us.

What information do we collect from you?

We may collect data that is given to us by you and data that is collected automatically. We will collect data in a number of ways, including via:

  • Use of our website(s) and/or social media platforms;

  • Telephone, post, email or through any other means of communication;

  • Signing up to any newsletters, mailings or downloads;

  • Any coaching/training application or form;

  • Any coaching/training participation agreement;

  • Any coaching/training relationship; and

Other organisations, including partners, affiliates, contractors, collaborators and brand ambassadors.

We collect the minimum amount of data required for our work together, which may include but is not limited to: name; e-mail address; telephone number; address; nationality; date of birth; next of kin; emergency contact details; payment card details; and information shared during any coaching/training arrangement or relationship.

Why do we need this information about you and how it will be used?

We need your information and will use it to:

  • Undertake and perform our obligations and duties to you in accordance with the terms of any coaching, training or other working arrangement;

  • Enable us to supply you with the products, services and information that you have requested from us or any third party;

  • Analyse the information we collect so that we can administer, support, improve and develop our business and the products and services we offer;

  • Deal with any legal queries relating to your use of our service;

  • Contact you with details of any changes to our services, reminders and instructions about events you have signed up for or enquired about and information about products that you have signed up to or requested from us or others; and

  • Carry out all other purposes consistent with the proper performance of our operations and business. 

How is your data stored and kept secure?

We take your safety and security very seriously and we are committed to protecting your personal and financial information. The information you provide to us will be treated as confidential and will be processed only by us or third parties acting on our behalf within the United Kingdom, European Economic Area (“EEA”) or other GDPR-compliant locations. 

We may disclose your information to third parties who act on our behalf for the purposes set out in this notice or for purposes approved by you, including:

  • To disclose information to any new business partners or owners if we enter into a joint venture with, merger or acquisition with another organisation;

  • To provide services that will support you in your development if you have given consent in your working agreement, or as otherwise expressly agreed by you.

Unless required to do so by law, we will not otherwise share, sell or distribute any of the information you provide to us without your consent.

Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password that enables you to access certain parts of our services, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share any password you receive from us with anyone.

Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access. Your information will only be stored in the UK, EEA or other GDPR-compliant location.

We will only hold your personal data for as long as is necessary for our work together, or as required by law (we may be legally required to hold some types of information), or as set out in any relevant agreement we have with you.

What are your rights?

You have the right at any time to:

  • Ask for a copy of the information about you held by us in our records;

  • Require us to correct any inaccuracies in your information;

  • Make a request to us to delete what personal data of yours we hold; and

  • Object to receiving any marketing communications from us.
